time and memory revisited 2018-

Collage has always been a medium used in my art process. By taking bits and pieces to make a whole, I am able to explore the human condition.

When my mother passed, I inherited photos, postcards, wedding gloves, and other personal items which I used to archive our family’s history in Lithuania, in addition to our ethnic and racial DNA profiles.

Memory, influenced by time, place, and experience, forms the foundation for my series, “Time and Memory Revisited”. As personal meaning and influences evolve, we attempt to reconcile new information with what is known, or imagined, of the past.
